Where’s Biden?

It has been 10 hours since the Scott Key Bridge was rammed and collapsed. Joe Biden has not issued a statement (written or in person) concerning this event. The only information from the White House is:

“There is no indication of any nefarious intent,” a White House official said in a statement.

I would have three teams (minimum) working on this disaster:

1. Immediate clearing of the bride collapse so that the harbor would be able to resume shipping. The impact to the economy of both Baltimore and the country is crippled until normal shipping is resumed.
2. Workarounds for the flow of vehicular traffic and supply distribution impacted by the closure of the bridge.
3. Options on how to rebuild the bridge if it is feasible. Costs, time and materials.

But Biden should have already made a national statement as soon as he had been briefed to calm a nation whose people are on the edge. But I have no confidence in Biden’s ability to grasp the gravity of this situation. Then again, Pete Buttigieg should also have presented some information concerning this event.

We have children running the nation who cannot destroy it fast enough. Now imagine a few coordinated terrorist attacks in the heartland. Fearmongering is easy. Courage to stand and take back your Liberty is harder.
