White Rock Minerals records multiple visible gold intercepts at Dickenson South target of Morning Star Gold Mine

White Rock Minerals Ltd (ASX:WRM, OTCQX:WRMCF) has intersected visible gold in drill core samples across multiple areas of the Dickenson South target within the Morning Star Gold Mine in Victoria, Australia, indicating economic potential for more than eight gold reef formations.

Multiple adjacent holes intersecting the Age of Progress Reef within the Dickenson South target revealed visible gold in core samples, with more visual gold present in samples from the Dickenson and Whitelaw Reefs.

Notable intersections (listed with true widths) include:

• 0.4 metres at 29.8 g/t gold from 193.2 metres, including 0.2 metres at 51.4 g/t from 193.2 metres in the Whitelaw Reef;
• 0.6 metres at 21.5 g/t from 54.8 metres in the Whitelaw Reef;
• 0.4 metres at 12.7 g/t from 117.7 metres in the Exhibition Reef; and
• 3.7 metres at 6.1 g/t from 59.1 metres including 1.8 metres at 10.0 g/t from 59.5 metres in the Age of Progress Reef.

Targeting proximal gold reef

White Rock’s primary objective at the Morning Star is to identify and define areas of the dyke that have the potential to host multiple high-grade gold quartz reefs that are adjacent to existing underground development infrastructure to support a low capital expenditure restart of production.

WRM began targeting the Dickenson South area as one such area with surface diamond drilling in late 2021.

To date, seven diamond drill holes have been completed for 1,466 metres, testing mineralised reefs including the Age of Progress, Stacpoole, Exhibition, Shamrock, Dickenson and Whitelaw reefs, between surface and Level 6 at the Morning Star Mine.

Preliminary interpretations suggest more than eight reefs with the potential for economic mineralisation that extend across the Dickenson South target area.

The first ring of six drill holes intersected 26 reef positions with greater than 1 g/t gold, used as an indicator for a reef position of interest.

Interpretations are ongoing, with focus on quartz reef geometry as an important aspect of determining which reef positions have the greatest potential for economic returns.
