Remember Folks, it is the CONVENTION DELEGATES that have the authority/Power to nominate and Elect the LtGov Candidate. Delegates usually just rubber-stamp the “preference” of the Gubernatorial Candidate, but do NOT have to.
If you’ll recall, or if you do not know look up, the efforts to unseat RINO Rick’s LG Calley (to balance the ticket with a REAL CONSERVATIVE) with Wes Nakagiri just a few short years ago. That is how the LG is supposed to be determined, by the Convention Delegates nominating and Voting!
We can and must insist the Patrick Colbeck be the LG nominee (so we have at least one real/proven Conservative on the ticket, one that has a real/actual Conservative Voting Record and didn’t have to hide from their Voting Record like Calley and Schuette have to).
Feel free, like me, to use the logo below, or make your own TShirts (or Polos), at CafePress (you may have to include some text on the shirt to avoid it from claiming you are attempting to subvert copyrights), to wear to the Convention!!
Pat is still a PARTY Politician and knows Schuette wouldn’t nominate him so will play the PARTY UNITY line. DRAFT PATRICK COLBECK!

If Schuette “team” (establishment) wants UNITY, then give us a FAIR SHAKE and Vote on LG at Convention. If we lose that Vote fair-and-square, then they can/will have their UNITY! Deny such, may beget same such denial.

Governorship was not in the Cards (THIS TIME) for Pat, but perhaps the actual CALLING was/is for LG this time around and Governor in 2022 or 2026!! Kerry Todd Joe, He did a valent job, BUT a poor showing in 3rd place. Trust me, I voted for him. The job should go to Brian Calley.

Kerry Todd His NRA rating is the same as Colbeck. The GOP was way under the Dem votes for governor. Do you want a rock solid win or hand it to the Dems. Unless Calley backs out and puts his support behind Colbeck.. The numbers tell the story

Joseph M. Lenard re: enthusiasm gap…. indeed a “serious issue,” especially when we have the usual 8 year flip-flop D then R then D then R cycle. Coinciding with R in WH and all that usually spells for MidTerms and with Trump only having carried the State by 10k Votes. That, with the added complication of the #USSenate cycle in the same year!!!
I “understand” where you are coming from and can see you “clearly” are “thinking” about it… I just will never agree (with Calley anyway). I was at Convention trying to over-throw him last time!!!
They want UNITY then it’s time to reach out and EARN UNITY rather than the usual DICTATORIAL DEMANDS OF CONFORMITY!

Like I said elsewhere, there are about a MILLION different threads on this topic… Pat is still a loyal PARTY Politician!!! He will NOT openly advocate for LG even if interested, he will toe the PARTYN UNITY LINE! It is up to us to demonstrate we want/need him to be the LG. He clearly was not CALLED for Gov this time but maybe it was/is all about LG to set him up for 2022 or 2026!!!!! You may dislike #IdentityPolitics, but sometimes an Enemy dictates the Battlefield that you must Fight on. Failure to Fight any particular Battle, means Surrender (automatic LOSS).
Sometimes you can pick the time and location of a Battle taking it to the Enemy, other times you must Defend (more-so, Fight back) upon the Battlefield the Enemy dictates.
Lincoln did not get to just say – you know, I’d rather not bother to confront Confederate Troops amassed at Gettysburg (let’s ignore the situation and pretend it isn’t happening). To do so would have then allowed them to March on next to anywhere they damn well pleased. Unless you are completely outnumbered and have no real way to Fight back, you must engage!

I remain true to my positions and #Principles, each and every situation requires separate and careful consideration of ALL EXTENUATING (sp?) circumstances!!! What was important in 2010 can and is different than 2018… And, mark my words, EL SAYED will be Whitmers running-mate… Pat was the only one willing to NOT COWER IN THE CORNER and take him on… He will take on Whitmer and Abdul while Bill plays PC games (which will cause his defeat)…

I do not doubt the Establishment hacks will have wanted to change the LG Rules following our Wes Nakagiri challenge, but until such time as someone can and does cite the Rule change number and shows us in B&W the new Rule, I will continue to operate under the assumption of the RULES AS I KNOW THEM!! And a basic open nominations and simple majority votes by Delegates!!!
I joined the #GOP in 1979, as a Reagan Conservative, cuz I believe in the things our Party Platform claims we stand for, not to ever be a Tax/Spend, Liberal, Socialsit, Democrat-lite, RINO/CINO, that the majority in our Party actually represent!
