..real clear prophecy From New Jerusalem

   ”And I John saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.” Revelation 21:2

   Here we are talking about a city that Abraham saw a far off who’s builder is God. This is the Bride of Christ that you have heard about, but please realize that this city is not of this earth it comes down to us out of heaven. The glory of this city is like that of the glory and wonder of a man’s bride adorned for her husband.

   ”For he (Abraham) looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.” Hebrews 11:10

   There are many who still say these things, who like Abraham have said that they too look to that city. And in the centuries since Christ, many have already passed onto that city above.

   ”For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

   But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” Hebrews 11:14-16

   Now we know that all the people of this city are the children of God ~ our Mighty One in heaven, where this city is also the household of God, and His household extends to us here on earth. Could it be that the thresholds of the gates of that city above, extend to us here? Could we be standing in the courts of the thresholds of those gates here? Could it be that all that stands between us here and that city, is one pearl of one of those heavenly gates?

   The foundations of that city are layers of precious stones. The gates are pearl and the streets are gold. In that city the light thereof is that of the Father and the Son. In that city is the Lamb of God.

   Isaiah had something to tell us about the household of God in the latter days, he told us about the mountain of the Lord’s house in the latter days. Ezekiel was taken to a great and high mountain in the northern mountain heights of Israel where in his vision he saw a city on the south side of the mountain. And then after Ezekiel came Daniel who tells us a prophecy from the dream of Nebuchadnezzar, about an image of the kingdoms of this world, and how a stone cut out without hands fell upon that image and destroyed it. And then he tells us that this stone grew to become a great mountain that filled all of the world, and we learned that this mountain is the kingdom of God that came in Christ. The type of this mountain is the largest and highest mountain in Israel in its northern heights. Moses called it Mt Sion not to be confused with Mt Zion in Jerusalem. And he also called it Mt Hermon which is where Jesus met Moses and Elijah when Jesus was transfigured.

   ”From Aroer, which is by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which is Hermon,..” Deuteronomy 4:48

   This subject of the mountain of the Lord’s house in the latter days, is significant in knowing all of the prophecies for the last days. No one preaches what Daniel preached about how the kingdom of God would overcome all of the kingdoms of this world and be the one that is not destroy but shall last forever. Read all of Daniel chapters 2 and 7 and so, read it for yourself. This is significant since John tells us that this city comes down out of heaven upon “the great and high mountain.” So I want to show you somethings pertaining to this city. Lets read what John said.

   ”And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a `great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;” Revelation 21:9-11

   I am sure now you can see and follow the mountain so lets follow it further.

   I want to now show you something peculiar that goes in here, having to do with the 144,000 in Revelations. We have had many claims of people saying they are in this number, but none of them can show you where they stand in reality in this matter. First of all these are the voices of the many waters, the rivers of life and I will show that to you, but lets look at where they are standing in the Word of God. You might consider coming to stand there too!

   ”And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb *stood on the mount `Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, as the `voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:” Revelations 14:1-2

   Here we see that they are not standing on Mt Zion which is in Jerusalem but on Mt Sion which is where the Lamb is standing in the last days, and this is where His kingdom is, the great and high mountain. And here we see that the voice out of heaven is like that of many waters, and I told you of them elsewhere in the word God gave me. Note:  The older KJV Bible is the one to reference since in newer versions the name Sion has been translated Zion where the editors assumed that these two names are one and the same, however because of what Moses tells us we know this is not true.

   Now this leads to a good study and deep waters, but they are not murky or dark, though some of the waters of life are deep, they flow from His Spirit and so these waters shallow or deep are crystal clear and full of light. Now lets hear how Paul understood all of this in his day.

   ”For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest, And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard entreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more: (For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart: And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:) But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaks better things than that of Abel.

   See that ye refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven: Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:18-29

   You see now that city is up on Mt Sion on the sides of the north parts of Israel, and not Mt Zion of the city of old. Ours is a new city that we look towards, a heavenly city of gold.

   Now although we are down here we are also people of that city from above and we are made so through Jesus Christ who is our pearl most precious, He is in the gates of the city standing there for us. He is full of mercy but beware, He does not allow just any old thing to enter through those gates.

   The Spirit of the Mighty One Of Old is now walking among His people, the tabernacle of God is among men, He dwells in these tabernacles of flesh who are His household. Look up and look forwards to the coming of New Jerusalem!

I suspect some will want to ponder and meditate on and investigate these words.

Isaiah 2:2-5

“ And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.”
