This is BY FAR the first time biologicals have been tried to ‘reduce the population. A funny thing, for those who are old enough and like to watch documentaries….It was 2006, and a GREAT documentary was made covering the ‘scientific hunt’ for what strain of the ‘Spanish Flu’ actually caused the 1918 outbreak that terminated so many. The documentary follows a team from The East Coast all the way to the ONLY KNOWN LOCATION where corpses were buried naturally after death (no embalming) and in a cold environment to have preserved the DNA of the virus (ends up, it was the permafrost of Nome, Alaska).
There, they find 30 or so graves of those who died in 1918…18 or so suspected to have died of the Flu, with 6 verified to have died of it. They take viable tissue samples back to their lab on the East Coast, and by way of DNA testing, confirm they have LIVE SAMPLES…of, all things, H1N1 Spanish Flu. The documentary ends with ‘the information and tissue samples will be forwarded to the CDC for further testing, to determine what made it so lethal back then’. Only 3-years later, in 2009, we have National Guard with weapons, mandating tests and the start of ‘immunizations against it’…the first year of Obama’s first term. If you remember the ‘scare’, you now know WHERE IT CAME FROM! THE CDC!
